The Best Dating Advice for Men

By Lloyd Baker

Dating can be tough, but attempting to obtain the date in the first place can be much more difficult. Let me go over a couple of things that might assist you in scoring a date. There are things you need to do before you go out and ask the girl out on a date. Guys, make sure your individual hygiene is up to scratch. I'm discussing the stuff you must be doing currently. That means cleaning your teeth (day and night!), making use of deodorant daily and cleaning your face. These are merely the basics. Feel free to include some moisturizers and also some cologne.

Another thing is get some new clothes. That stuff you've been wearing for years really needs to be put in the dumpster. Go online and look at websites such as CQ Magazine for men. Look at the photos of just what stylish men are wearing now. Print these pictures out. Take them shopping with you. Go get yourself some new clothes. I won't stress this enough, do not simply buy a suit or one 'good top' and wear that all over, it'll give the lady the wrong impression and you'll look ridiculous. I recommend getting a pair of cream chinos, a checked shirt, a navy jumper and a pair of suede boat shoes. Get a good checked shirt, not the flannel you've been wearing since highschool. Teaming the shirt up with a navy jumper and a pair of boat shoes will certainly seal the offer. You'll look truly good and looking good eventually gives you self-confidence.

Look in shops like Roger David, Ben Sherman and American Apparel. Ask the sales people for support, they're there to assist you; it's their job.

Please bear in mind to use clean, matching socks. If you think the lady won't see them, you're wrong. We see everything.

Now, when you're finally looking the part. Get your good friends to look the part too. Take your brand-new appearance on a trial run. Go out to a nice bar and have a few beers. Don't act like a Neanderthal that has never ever seen a spoon. Provide yourself some grace and have a sensible time out with your good friends.

This evening out might be a good opportunity to trial out your pick up lines? WRONG. Generally the cute men just smile (with recently brushed teeth) and ask a girl just how her evening has been. Not straight away though, just be patient.

She could be out on a girls evening so, don't take her away from buddies. Be polite and offer to exchange telephone numbers. Stay cool, if she doesn't give you her phone number, smile and say something like "That's cool, maybe next time?". Let her understand you only wish she has a great evening and move away. Don't hover around her and her friends; it'll make you seem desperate.

Now, once you finally have a date (ideally with a girl who hasn't already got a boyfriend) you should take some time to think of a plan for the date. Don't wait until the actual date and ask her what she wants to do. Take control and use your brain and think of something imaginative and nice. (Ask your Mum or any female pals for guidance)

First impressions do count, so just be your natural good self, relaxed and confident (she'll tell all her good friends after the date). Take her someplace nearby and offer to pick her up and drop her home. Show her that chivalry is not dead. This implies: - Opening the door for her, helping her with her coat and her chair. Insist on paying the check. Don't even let her see it. Have a quiet word to the wait staff well in advance of the end of the meal.

Look, the bottom line is to be a gentlemen. Do not make her feel like she is incapable of doing anything herself however, it'll get unpleasant.

Now, make sure you have stack of time to get ready. Don't put pressure on yourself by trying to get ready in 5 minutes. You'll just stress yourself out. Remember the basic hygiene I mentioned earlier, do all of that once again (even if you did it before!). Brush those teeth and take a shower. Give yourself plenty of time to look good, smell good, feel relaxed and you'll come across as a real cool dude.

Make sure your garments are clean and ironed. Please wear appropriate clothing on your date. Don't rock up wearing all white if you're taking her to a bowling bar.

make sure you contribute to the conversation. Ask questions. If you just sit there answering her questions you'll look like a dork. If you've had girlfriends before, don't talk about them. Don't do or say anything that will spoil the mood; make her feel special.
